My name is Jennifer Tai and I’m a Seattle-based photojournalist-style photographer for pretty much about anything: babies, families, weddings, pets, models.
Whenever I make a picture, I try to capture the character of my subject. I believe my training and experience as a journalist has given me my casual and unobtrusive approach to portraiture, first making sure my subjects are at ease. This allows me to capture the little nuances that make each of them unique, moments that may be ordinary today but through my lens and that little bit of “Photoshop Magic” that I put in them, become precious snapshots that will evoke only the sweetest, most moving memories in the days to come. A quivering lip, a nervous handshake, a brave smile – these are what I strive to capture in every single session because these are the moments worth capturing, the memories worth making.
